Overview
To support the operation, Mactech selected Diaquip diamond wire for use with its 30-inch diamond wire saw, providing the reliable cutting performance required for this high-volume reinforced concrete cutting application.
The Challenge
Removing reinforced concrete bridge piles required precision, consistency and reliability. All 106 piles had to be cut at the correct elevation in a near-water environment while maintaining productivity. Any unnecessary downtime could have affected the overall project schedule.

Diaquip supplied the diamond wire used by Mactech throughout the project. Selected for dependable cutting performance in reinforced concrete, the wire supported clean, controlled cutting while helping maintain productivity across all 106 bridge piles.
